INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGES
Mizumaki Town conducts a student exchange program with the Dutch municipality of Noordoostpolder. The first exchange program was held in 1996, and several groups of students from both municipalities have now participated. Through the program, the students have a valuable chance to learn about each other's country and its culture.
Furthermore, Yoshida Elementary School conducted a long-term e-mail exchange program with de Appelhof Elementary School in Druten, the Netherlands. The students exchanged information about their classes and school life, along with photos and mementos of each other's schools.
Mizumaki's schools have also invited people from North and South Korea for exchange programs at the schools.
